Scottish wildcats and other wildlife in Clashindarroch Forest, Aberdeens...



Everyone is full of excitement at finding 13 Scottish wildcats in Clashindarroch Forest already, but it's not just the wildcats that make this place special.



Of course there's plenty of deer around, but and our team have caught sight of lots more wildlife in the area, and we've had some of it turn up on our camera traps!



This video features deer, pine marten, red squirrel and wildcat, and two of our field conservationists talking about some of the other species they've spotted working in The Clash including hen harriers, merlin and black grouse.

GAA is ‘booming’ in France

One thousand players have registered to play Gaelic Games in France, largely thanks to a successful long-term growth strategy in Brittany. ‘It’s huge’, says Wicklow-born Anna Marie O’Rourke who is the European GAA Health & Wellbeing Officer and a driving force with the Rennes club. ‘Brittany is one of the hotspots in Europe’. Speaking at the recent European Finals in Maastricht, where Rennes fielded four adult men and womens teams, O’Rourke put the success down to the ‘Celtic Connection’ and getting into the schools system a decade ago. ‘I’m proud to be part of this from the very beginning’.
